Our flagship projects is the Mewa Khola Hydropower Project, a ground breaking initiative designed to harness the energy of the Mewa River. The Mewa Khola Hydropower Project is a run-of-river hydropower project located in the picturesque region of Koshi Province Taplejung district Mikwakhola Rural Municipality with a total installed capacity of 23 MW, the project is designed to provide clean, renewable energy to the national grid, reducing the dependency on fossil fuels and contributing to the country’s energy security.

The project is called the Mewa Khola Hydropower Project and it is located in the Mechi Zone, Taplejung District, specifically in Papun/Mikhwakhola-5 Rural Municipality.
The project uses a Run-off-River (ROR) scheme.
The total annual energy production is 141.175 GWh, with 43.061 GWh from dry energy and 98.114 GWh from wet energy.
The total project cost, including IDC, is 470 Crore NPR
The IRR is 14.16%, and the return on equity is 20.40%.
